About the Firm
Advisor first, preparer second.
I've served the Sacramento area since 2007, working from a simple premise: most people don't need a firm that only shows up in April. They need one that helps them make better decisions in June, September, and December — so the return in April is just paperwork, not a surprise.
I work with individuals, families, and small businesses across a range of income situations: W-2 employees with equity compensation, self-employed consultants, rental property owners, and owners of S-corps and LLCs who need their tax strategy and their bookkeeping to actually talk to each other.
Every engagement starts with a plain-English conversation about what you're trying to accomplish — not a stack of forms.

01
Proactive, not reactive
Quarterly check-ins and mid-year projections, so decisions get made before December 31 — not after. -
02
Plain-English advice
I explain the "why" behind every recommendation in terms you can act on, not just tax code citations. -
03
One point of contact
You work directly with the person who prepares and signs your return. My office helps with scheduling and calls, but every tax decision is mine alone. -

Tax Law Updates
What changed for the 2026 tax year
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and annual inflation adjustments reshaped several provisions. Here's what matters most for individual filers.
SALT deduction cap raised
The cap on state and local tax deductions is raised through 2029, with a phase-down of 30% of income above $500,000 MAGI, fully phased out near $600,000.
Qualified tip income deduction
A new deduction for qualified tips through 2028, phasing out above $150,000 MAGI (single) / $300,000 (joint). Tips remain subject to payroll tax.
Qualified overtime pay deduction
A new deduction for FLSA-qualified overtime pay through 2028, with income-based phase-outs.
Senior deduction, age 65+
An additional temporary deduction (through 2028) on top of the regular and existing age-65 standard deduction amounts, phasing out above $75,000 MAGI (single) / $150,000 (joint).
2026 standard deduction
Indexed for inflation; add $2,050 (single/HoH) or $1,650 per spouse (joint) for filers 65 or older.
Child Tax Credit
Raised in 2025 and now indexed for inflation annually; phase-out begins at $200,000 MAGI (single) / $400,000 (joint).
Estate tax exemption
Raised for 2026 and made permanent, indexed to inflation going forward — removing prior scheduled reductions.
Retirement plan contribution limits
Annual inflation adjustments raised elective deferral, IRA, and HSA contribution ceilings for 2026.
